Shattered POSTED AT 09:55 AM This can’t be happening.
I have been planning to go back to school next year and I was so excited to find the perfect program for me. The prospectus offered all the subjects I wanted. And the best part is, it’s only for a year.
I forgot all about the email of inquiry I sent them, until I remembered to check one of my gazillion active email accounts. And there it was, a reply to my inquiry. I reply telling me I do not answer the entry criteria.
Did you hear all my dreams just crumble and die like a cookie ran over by a stampede? If my life were a corny, all too predictable soap opera, this would call for dead air – just prolonged, useless seconds of staring.
I haven’t even applied yet and I’m already being rejected?
Now isn’t that just lovely?
Still, I did say I only wanted to do what God says. So maybe I’m not supposed to go to THAT school no matter how delicious the program is. Oh just please let it be in God’s plan that I do go back to school next year.
Time to pick up the crumbs and give them to our dogs.
I’m gonna have to make a new batch of cookies. !--[if>!--[if>!--[if>!--[if>!--[if>!--[if>!--[if>!--[if> Currently feeling: a bit rejected |

Friendship is spending POSTED AT 04:24 PM I haved realized that friendship, especially true friendship, is synonymous with spending. If a friend is in search of "happy food," you join her in that quest. You end up spending a bit more than regular for lunch, not to mention paying for the cab ride. Because you went out of your way to get to that "happy food" (you might be in search of it too), you also end up with all these temptations around you. You spend minutes reading packets of products you would probably not use. Then you end up buying some. As you try to avoid spending more by veering away from the things you or your friend wants to buy, you end up trying on clothes. No, you really don't need them. But since you didn't stop your friend from buying that blouse, she won't stop you from buying those shirts either. No, she'll egg you on. You should spend at least the same amount she did on her blouse. You try to steal her away from a book sale only to end up buying a book while she looks on, happy she resisted temptation. Ah yes, friendship. Nothing beats the real thing, not even Coke. So you probably won't get to buy that hair thing as soon as you wanted. There really is no regrets with time spent having fun with a friend. Currently feeling: happy, pretty and broke |
